Love and Blood

Alan Tang starred in Love and Blood in 1972. The Love part of the title is fitting because Tang has many erotic love scenes with several different women. Blood is appropriate also as Tang has several martial arts style fights. The movie also features several romantic triangles.

The Story

In Love and Blood, Alan Tang plays the role of a photographer, which brings him into constant contact with woman models. In fact, much of the story revolves around photography. On the high end, this includes Tang's boss showing Tang's artistic pictures at a fancy photographic show. On the low end, the movie has male tourists taking pictures of nude girls in a sleazy setting run by several disreputable men including Yee Lui.

Tang is drunk because his true love, the beautiful young innocent girl played by Lee Lan Lam, ran out on him in disillusionment when she discovered his relationship with Hu Jin. Lee Lam Lam, the young girl, had earlier been rescued by Tang and his martial artist roommate played by Chen Hui Ming from the sleazy photo place when she refused to model nude. She apparently had been forced there by the men running the place, and as a result, was both lost and confused.

After her rescue, the innocent girl had followed Tang and his roommate home. They fed her and gave her shelter. She then started modelling for Tang in an innocent artistic mode with her clothes on. Tang photographs her in many beautiful natural settings and they fall in love. Tang's boss likes these photos of the young girl and displays them at the high class photographic show. These photos of Lee Lam Lam are seen eventually by the bad guys in the sleazy photo shop who want her back to pose nude.

After sobering up in the Hu Jin's apartment, Tang searches for his true love Lee Lam Lam and eventually finds her on the mountain peak where they originally fell in love. Tang takes her back and leaves her at the home of Hu Jin who then explains to Lee Lam Lam that there is nothing between her and Tang!!! She also explains that she has a male friend, who arrives shortly afterwards. The young innocent girl is in for a further shock when it turns out that the older married friend is her father. She confronts them both, runs away and then seeks help from the bad guys in the sleazy photoshop. In exchange for a promise to pose nude she asks them to take revenge against her father's mistress. She blames Hu Jin for her causing her mother's death.

WARNING CONCLUSION:The bad guys call the Hu Jin's apartment and tell her to go to an abandoned hill if she wants to "rescue" the young girl. She does and is raped by the leader of the bad guys. Tang and his martial arts friend arrive in time to fight off the bad guys and rescue the young girl. Unfortunately, Hu Jin who has sacrificed herself for the girl is stabbed and dies. This sends Lee Lam Lam, Tang's young girlfriend, into hysteria. The movie ends in the airport with the father taking his now insane daughter and her nurse home. A sad Alan Tang and his friend are there to see them off.
