I Am Crazy About You

Alan Tang starred in the romantic comedy I Am Crazy About (for) You in 1971. He acted the part of a good-looking playboy and was surrounded by many supporting characters. Special thanks to Alan Tang fan Irene for helping with the story details.

The Story

Alan Tang's father is unhappy with the lifestyles of his three sons and his daughter. He confides his problem to his lawyer friend and they cook up a plan in which the father will fake his death and give his children three months in which to change their ways if they want to inheret the million dollars he has left them.

The lawyer enlists the help of his three daughters and a nephew who play various games on Tang and his siblings. Tang, who is a girl-chasing playboy, becomes attracted to and involved with one of the Lawyer's daughters, played by Hu Yin Yin. Although she is part of the plot, Hu finds herself falling for Tang. Tang cares about her but still goes out drinking with his other girl friend.

WARNING CONCLUSION: Tang's feelings for Hu grow and he becomes serious about her. After a while, the father lets his children know that he is alive and has been playing a trick with the help of his lawyer. Tang and his siblings then decide to turn the tables on the lawyer's family. Eventually the two sides get together and Tang and Hu Yin Yin reconcile. In the end, everyone is happy and Tang's father is pleased with his children.
